Your nutrition status is personal and individual to you. And it's connected to everything: how you think, your mood, how capable you are, your output, your zest for life, your appetite, your weight, your energy, your health, your sleep, the quality of interactions you have, your ability to recover, the quality of life you have, most likely the quantity of life you will have, how you feel about yourself and even how you perceive life.
Lisa offers a considered, non judgemental, safe and supportive space to bring health questions or challenges to solve.
In a nutrition consult, you will have time with Lisa where she will ask you a few questions to better understand the context of your life and your health history. You can share your personal health goals, your current experience of health and any discomfort or unpleasant symptoms or diagnoses you are currently living with, and what worked and what didn't work. She will most likely recommend a few tests (commonly blood, saliva, urine or stool) tailored to get to the bottom of any issues. Once results are in you will connect again and together discuss how to move forward, based on the information gathered from results and your case history that is created.
Moving forward will include things like personalised diet recommendations, personalised supplement recommendations, positive lifestyle adjustments and behavioural supports if you need them to try new things, stop unhelpful things or anchor healthier habits.
Lisa will draw on her experience and expertise in nutrition, genetics, psychology and neuroscience to help offer holistic approaches to whatever issues you are facing. She will work with you to find solutions that feel achievable and worthwhile.
Lisa uses a series of specialised tests to explore her patients nutrition status accurately, including for example assessing their biochemistry, allergies and food sensitivities, DNA, gut flora and gut health, brain chemistry, liver function, heart health, inflammatory markers, nutrient levels in the blood to ensure we are able to create a personalised nutrition plan, highly tailored to meet their health and nutrition needs, with no guess work. Nutritional imbalances will have health consequences and symptoms, these can affect the way we feel, our energy levels, our performance, our mood, our attention, memory, our chance of getting chronic diseases, our ability to cope with stress, our health and even create undesirable cravings. Once Lisa has conducted thorough nutrition assessments, (as relevant) she works closely with the client to make sure they are equipped with a diet strategy that considers, and meets needs and preferences (this includes meal planning tips and recipes and other guiding tools.)
